The Solon Dixon Forestry Education Center mark is a conceptual, contemporary approach to representing natural elements. The pine needles, feather, and leaf are arranged into an organic shape that represents the flame of prescribed fire – a key element of sustaining the longleaf pine ecosystem for which the center is known.
